Reports and analysis

Occasionally, organizations such as non-profit public policy groups may publish reports related to a proposed ballot measure. These reports may be briefs in support or opposition of a measure; potential impact of a measure on both state and local communities; a study of previous related proposals; etc.

Since such reports are not explicitly part of campaign efforts, the reports should be highlighted in a separate section of the ballot measure article dedicated to all "reports and analysis."

The section may be called Reports and analysis.

Important features

When adding summaries about released reports make sure to highlight the following:

  • Date the report was released
  • Name of the organization, professor or person that published the report
  • A link to the full report
  • Responses to the report - often times campaign groups or other organizations may respond to the release of a ballot measure analysis, such responses may be added within this section.

Note: If the section becomes too large and unwieldy, you can truncate the section by adding a hyperlink to a separate page where all reports are featured. An example of this can be seen on this article: Washington I-1098 (2010) became too long so a link was added to this page which contains all of the reports.
