Campaign themes
Tucker's website talks about the following issues:
- Taxes, Economy, Jobs
- Excerpt: "I will work to cut taxes to create jobs. I will fight to reform the tax code to make it simpler and more business friendly, so North Carolina can effectively compete with other states for businesses, industries and more good jobs."
- Spending
- Excerpt: "I believe North Carolina needs a spending freeze in order to establish its budget priorities and spending limitations. As your Senator, I will fight to freeze spending and cut taxes for small businesses and working families."
- Education
- Excerpt: "Children are our investment in the future of our state. They must receive a good education to compete in today’s world. My children are both products of our public school system. Politicians much have their feet held to the fire to continue to fund and improve our schools. State dollars for schools should be distributed on a local level for more efficiency."
- Honesty in Government
- Excerpt: "I know that one party democratic rule has led to corruption in Raleigh. As your Senator, I will be open, transparent and accessible to my constituents."
