Wyoming Constitutional Amendment C was on the November 5, 2002 ballot in Wyoming as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated.
Amendment C would have provided that amendments to the Wyoming Constitution proposed by the Wyoming Legislature will be submitted to the electors of the state without prior presentment to the Governor for his approval or disapproval.
In order to pass, a constitutional amendment must receive a majority of the total votes cast in the election. The total votes cast in 2002 was 188,028, making the majority needed for passage 94,015 votes.
