CHEYENNE, Wyoming: According to Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield, the state will see a record number of political parties on this year's general election ballot. In his announcement, Secretary Maxfield commented on the record, saying, "In the 2000 General Election, we had five parties on the ballot, which was a record, but this year we’ve surpassed that, with voters potentially seeing candidates from six different parties." Of the six parties, which are the Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Americans Elect, Constitution, and Country Parties, only the Democratic and Republican will nominate candidates for the primary election.[1]
