A Yakima County Fire District No. 1 Bond proposition was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Yakima County, which is in Washington.

If approved, this proposition authorizes Yakima County Fire District No. 1 to issue $2.2 million in bonds and the appropriate sales tax to pay for these bonds in 20 years in order to fund the purchase of fire and emergency equipment.[1]

Language on the ballot:

The Board of Fire Commissioners of Yakima County Fire Protection District No. 1 adopted Resolution No. 2012-09 concerning this proposition for bonds. For the purpose of acquiring additional critical fire, rescue and emergency medical equipment for the Volunteer Fire Department and to replace/update fire stations, this proposition authorizes the District to issue up to $2,200,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within a maximum of 20 years, and to collect excess property taxes annually to repay the bonds, as provided in Resolution No. 2012-09.
