Jennings served as a Legislative Assistant to the [[United States House of Representatives]] from 1978 to 1979.  He then served the [[South Carolina State Senate]] [[Judiciary Committee, South Carolina Senate|Judiciary Committee]] as a Research Assistant from 1979 to 1982.  From 1982 to 1988, he was an Assistant Solicitor for the 4th Judicial Circuit.  He then served on the Marlboro County Election Committee from 1986 to 1991. Jennings joined the [[South Carolina House of Representatives]] in 1991. He has served in that position since, representing the 54th District. From 2001 to 2003, he served as House Minority Leader.

Scott Varner (b. July 1, 1962) is a Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 4.

Education
