Sarah Copeland-Hanzas (b. July 9, 1970) is a Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Orange-2.

Education

Copeland-Hanzas earned her BA in History from the University of Vermont in 1992. One year later, she received a BA in Geology. She went on to receive her Teaching Certificate from Upper Valley Teacher Institute in 1995.

Professional experience

Copeland-Hanzas worked as a Teacher for Oxbow High School from 1995 to 1996. She also worked as Varsity Coach for Oxbow High School from 1993 to 2003. During this time, she was also Varsity Coach at Hanover High School. She has worked as a Saleswoman for the Copland Company Store since 1993.

Political experience

Copeland-Hanzas joined the Vermont State House of Representatives in 2004. She has served in that position since, representing the Orange-2 District. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Vermont Democratic Party Fundraising Committee as well.
