2010 Gubernatorial Elections

The winning candidate's margin was calculated by taking the difference between the winner's vote share and that of the next higest vote getter.

Voter turnout was figured specifically for gubernatorial races, using the total number of ballots cast for a gubernatorial candidate and the total number of registered voters at the cutoff for registration. As such, the figure may differ slightly from voter turnout figures for the entire midterm election.

Time the race was called is given as EST. If there is no date listed after the time, then the race was called on Election Night (November 2, 20100).

  • Some race trackers are listing this as a pick-up for the Republicans because outgoing Governor Charlie Crist left the GOP and bacme an Independent for the sake of his U.S. Senate campaign. However, as Crist was elected as a Republican and served almost all of his term with the party, we consider the Florida governorship not to have switched parties.
