OLYMPIA, Washington: The San Francisco-based Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Washington's campaign finance laws on October 12, 2010. [1]
A three judge panel ruled against Human Life Washington's claims that the state's laws on campaign disclosure and anonymous donors are unconstitutional. Human Life wanted to be exempt from the laws as they wanted to issue ads on assisted suicide in 2008 when I-1000 was considered in 2008. Human Life had no interest in influencing I-1000. [1]
