AJ Griffin is a Republican member of the Oklahoma State Senate, representing District 20. Griffin was first elected in the February 14, 2012 special election. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when David Myers (R) passed away after a battle with pneumonia.[1]

Griffin faces Magnus Scott Sr. (D) in the special election on April 3, 2012. Griffin won the Republican primary on February 14, 2011. The race will take place in the state's new legislative districts.[2]
