AJ Griffin is a Republican member of the Oklahoma State Senate, representing District 20. She was first elected to the chamber in 2012. Griffin was elected in the February 14, 2012 special election to fill the vacancy created when David Myers (R) passed away after a battle with pneumonia.[1]

Biography

Griffin earned a B.A. in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma State University and a M.A. in Human Environmental Science from the University of Central Oklahoma. [1]

Griffin defeated Magnus Scott Sr. (D) in the special election on April 3, 2012. Griffin won the Republican primary on February 14, 2011. The race took place in the state's new legislative districts.[2]
