Abdul-Samad won re-election to the 66th District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. In the June 8th primary election, Abdul-Samad defeated Democratic primary opponent Clair E. Rudison, Jr. by a margin of 912 to 306. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[3]
