Six statewide ballot measures were on the November 4, 2008 ballot in Alabama. All of them were approved.

Considered but rejected

The state legislature had also considered placing a Tax Shift Proposition on the ballot, which would have eliminated the state's 4% sales tax on food and raised certain other taxes. The state house voted to place the measure on the ballot, but the state senate declined to approve it.
