The Alabama secretary of state election will take place on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Beth Chapman (R) was first elected in 2006 and is ineligible to seek re-election in 2014.

Alabama is one of 14 states that uses an open primary system, in which registered voters do not have to be members of a party to vote in that party's primary.[1][2][3]
