Alan Maisel is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 59 since February 2006 when he won a special election. Maisel has also been a member of Community Board #18 and chairman/member of District #22 Community School Board.

Maiselis is a retired assistant principal and teacher. His other professional experiences include chief of staff for New York State Assemblyman Frank Seddio and administrative assistant to United States Congressman Charles Schumer.[1]
