Alec Brook-Krasny is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 46 since 2007. Brook-Krasny's political experiences include candidate of New York City Council in 2001; candidate for New York State Assembly District 46 in 2000; and member/treasurer of Community Board #13.

Brook-Krasny ran in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 46. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012. He also ran on the Working Families Party ticket. He defeated Thomas A. McCarthy and Patrick Dwyer in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012. [2][3]
