Graf was uncontested in the September 14 Republican primary. He faces Ken Mangan (D) in the general election on November 2. Mangan defeated incumbent Ginny Fields (IW) in the Democratic primary. Fields is also running as a candidate of the Independence Party of New York State and the Working Families Party. In addition to Graf's slot on the Republican Party ticket, he is also listed as a candidate of the Conservative Party.
