Algie Howell is a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 90 since 2004.

A former member of the Norfolk Public School Board, Howell has worked as a business owner, educator, and served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960.[1]

Howell earned his B.A. from Norfolk Division, Virginia State College in 1967 and his M.A. from the Hampton Institute in 1973.

On November 8, 2011, Howell won re-election to District 90 of the Virginia House of Delegates. He defeated Richard James in the primary on August 23, 2011 and ran unopposed in the November 8 general election.[3]
