Campaign website
Alieta Eck is a physician and Republican candidate for the United States House of Representatives in the 2014 elections. She ran in the 12th Congressional District of New Jersey. [1]

Eck was a 2013 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. Senate from New Jersey. [2][3] She was defeated by Steve Lonegan in the Republican primary on August 13, 2013.[4]

Eck's opposition to Obamacare was a central tenant of her 2013 Senate run and will also be key issue in the 2014 House race. Eck's opponent, Rep. Rush Holt, is one of the most liberal members of congress, and while he voted in favor of Obamacare, he prefers the more expansive single-payer option. [5]
