Allen McCarthy was a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He represented the Seventh Plymouth from 2007-2011. He was defeated in the November 2, 2010 general election.

McCarthy is an attorney. He earned his J.D. and B.A. from Boston College.

McCarthy previously served as Assistant District Attorney for Middlesex County. He is a member of the East Bridgewater Democratic Town Committee and the East Bridgewater Business Association.[1]
