A Allen Park City Levy Increase proposal was on theNovember 6, 2012 election ballot in Wayne County, which is in Michigan.

If approved, this proposal amends the Allen Park City Charter to authorize the City to levy an additional tax of 4 mills ($4 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 2 years in order to fund the operations of the City. The estimated first year revenue from this tax is $2,997,695.[1]

It is proposed that Section 8.1 of the City of Allen Park City Charter be amended to temporarily allow the City to levy an additional ad valorem tax up to $4.00 per $1,000 in taxable value (4.0 mills), effective December 1, 2012, for period of two years, which will raise approximately $2,997,695.00 in the first year it is levied. Shall the proposed amendment be adopted?[1][2]
