Amanda McGill (b. March 21, 1980) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral representing District 26. She was first elected in 2006.

McGill voted in favor of Nebraska Legislative Bill 39, to restrict initiative rights in Nebraska.[1]

Born March 21, 1980 in Omaha, Nebraska, McGill graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She worked as a television reporter as KOLN/KGIN in Lincoln and is a member of the Junior League of Lincoln.

McGill earned her Bachelors degree in broadcasting and political science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2002.

McGill has professional experience as a television reporter for both KCAU in Sioux City and KOLN/KGIN in Lincoln, Nebraska.

McGill joined the Nebraska State Legislature as a senator in 2006 and currently serves in that regard.

McGill is currently involved in three organizations; the Junior League Thrift Shop, Lincoln Junior League, and the Northeast Family Center.
