Amanda Ragan (b. September 20, 1954) is a Democratic member of the Iowa State Senate, representing District 7. Ragan was a Diplomat for the Mason City Chamber of Commerce. She joined the Iowa State Senate in 2003 and has served in that position since. She formerly served as Assistant Minority Leader and is currently an Assistant Majority Leader.

Ragan earned her Bachelor's from Buena Vista University.

Ragan is the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels and the Community Kitchen of Northern Iowa. She has worked as a farmer and Human Resources Director in the past.

Ragan won re-election to the 7th District Seat in the Iowa State Senate. Ragan defeated Republican candidate James Mills by a margin of 12,908 to 8,452.[1]

Ragan was not opposed in the Democratic primary election on June 8th.[2]
