Amanda Ragan (b. September 20, 1954) is a Democratic member of the Iowa Senate, representing District 7. Ragan was a Diplomat for the Mason City Chamber of Commerce. She joined the Iowa State Senate in 2002 and has served in that position since. She is former Assistant Minority Leader and current Assistant Majority Leader.

Ragan earned her Bachelor's from Buena Vista University.

Ragan is the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels and the Community Kitchen of Northern Iowa. She has worked as a farmer and Human Resources Director in the past.

On November 7, 2006, Ragan was re-elected to the 7th District Seat in the Iowa State Senate, defeating Kenneth D. Young (R). [1] Ragan raised $156,210 for her campaign, while Young raised $35,604.[2]
