Amy Mason currently represents District 5 on the Central Valley Board of Directors. She won re-election to the board without opposition on November 5, 2013. Mason was first appointed to the board in 2011.

Biography

Mason earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Washington State University and a M.A. in Humanities from California State University. She was a high school English and Spanish teacher from 1994 to 1999. Mason has been active with the Superintendent's Parent Advisory Committee and as a coach with local youth soccer clubs. She has two children who are currently attending district schools.[1]

Central Valley School District is located in the Spokane River Valley in Spokane County. The district is based out of the City of Spokane Valley and also serves students in Liberty Lake. The population of Spokane Valley was 89,755 according to the 2010 U.S. Census.[3]
