Andrew Donaghy (b. March 14, 1942) is a Republican member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Rutland-1. He was first elected to the chamber in 2002.

Biography

Donaghy attended Niagra University. He then earned his AAS in Police Science from Nassau Community College in 1977. He later received his BA in Criminal Justice Management from Adelphi University in 1979.

Donaghy was a Police Officer/Detective for the New York Police Department from 1963 to 1984. He then worked as Chief of Detectives from 1980 to 1984. From 1984 to 1994, he was owner and manager of Lenny's Steak House. Donaghy then worked as a Senior Investigator for the Law Firm of Elovich and Adell from 1995 to 2000.

He also served as the Chair of the Town of Poultney Republican Party from 2007 to 2008.

Donaghy won re-election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Rutland 1. Donaghy was unopposed in the August 28 Republican primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
