Angela Giron is a Democratic member of the Colorado State Senate, representing the District 3. She was first elected to the chamber in 2010.

Giron is a former congressional aide to U.S. Senator Ken Salazar and U.S. Senator Michael Bennet.


Giron graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo. Her professional experience includes working as vice president of operations for Boys & Girls Club/Girls Incorporated.

In May 2013, Giron was targeted for recall due to her support of gun control legislation. Supporters of the recall needed to collect 11,500 valid signatures by June 10 to force a recall election. More than 13,500 signatures were turned in to the Colorado Secretary of State, who has until July 1 to certify them.[3][4]
