Annie Tietze is a Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 53 since 2013. She previously represented District 56 from 2007 to 2013.

Tietze has worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and a teacher. She received her BS in Education from Emporia State University and Masters in Communication Studies at the University of Kansas.[1]

She is the local president of the Kansas National Education Association and a member of the First Methodist Church.

Tietze won re-election in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 53. She ran unopposed in the August 7 Democratic primary and defeated District 51 incumbent Mike Burgess (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6]
