The Appropriations Committee is a standing committee of the Vermont State Senate.

Per Section 6 of the Permanent Rules of the Vermont Senate, the President of the Senate, the President pro tempore, and one Senate-elected senator comprise the Committee on Committees.[1] The Committee on Committees appoints members to all committees of the Senate at the beginning of each biennial session.[1] The Senate reserves the right to overrule any appointment and immediately fill the vacancy.[1] The first and secondly named members of each committee are the chair and the vice-chair, respectively. Each committee appoints a clerk from its members at the first meeting.[2] The chair of each committee is responsible for scheduling committee meetings, and the clerk keeps a record of attendance to be delivered to the Secretary of State at the end of each session.[3][4]
