An Arizona Home Detention Initiative, also known as the Smart Prison Population Act, did not make the November 6, 2012 ballot in the state of Arizona as an initiated state statute. The measure would have required that non-violent prisoners be placed in home detention after 1/4 of the maximum imposed sentence passes. The initiative was proposed by Fox Petitions Supporting Smart Prison Population Act.
