Not on Ballot
Proposed allot measures that were not on a ballot
This measure did not or
will not appear on a ballot
The Arkansas Secret Ballot Amendment did not appear on the November 2, 2010 ballot. It that would have required that union elections be conducted by secret ballot. Its sponsoring group was "Save Our Secret Ballot in Arkansas." The group, chaired by Gilbert Baker, had hoped to qualify the measure for the November 2010 ballot.

Dustin McDaniel's office rejected the first draft of a ballot title for the measure on the grounds that it was confusing.[1]

According to McDaniel: "All elections by the people shall be by ballot or by voting machines which insure the secrecy of individual votes. The fundamental right of individuals to vote by secret ballot is thus already enshrined in the constitution, raising the question of how, if at all § 1 of your proposed measure would change existing law."
