The Arlington County Housing Authority and Redevelopment Referendum is a ballot measure that did not appear on the November 3, 2009 ballot in Arlington County, Virginia.

The Arlington Green Party is behind a measure that would form a housing authority, which would allow the county to operate units directly, instead of working with non-profit groups and private developers. According to the group, this would help the county build more units and operate them better. Similar referenda were defeated in 2009, 1982 and 1958.

The Arlington Green Party is proposing the referendum in order to build affordable housing in the area. An Arlington judge ruled that the referendum was illegal under a new state law that subsequently toughens a measure's path to ballot. The party plans to appeal the decision.[1]
