Backbone America was created by John Andrews, on the belief that the foundation of America should still be the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. It is a nonprofit, nonpartisan group seeking to apply the founding documents to contemporary issues.

Backbone America operates many of its messaging efforts in the blogosphere and on podcast radio.[1]
