Amanda Qualls joined Judgepedia as an intern in June of 2011, transitioned to the position of Assistant Staff Writer in August 2011, and began in her role as the Director of Training with the Lucy Burns Institute in April 2013. Her previous work includes the Missouri counties index page and specific county pages, such as Adair County, along with substantial election work in the 2012 Judicial Elections. Amanda is currently developing and updating training materials for new employees, and will be delving into professional development initiatives for existing employees as well.

Originally from Goshen, Indiana, Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, with a minor in Russian and Eastern European Studies from the University of Notre Dame in 2010. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Library Science at Indiana University.

Amanda returned to Goshen in 2012 after living in Rochester, New York, and Bloomington, Indiana among other locations. She is married, has a stepson in elementary school, a beagle-sheltie mix, and two overweight cats. She loves baking, traveling, reading, and working!
