Elections
Is there a way to find a list of all elections taking place at every level across the US using BP?
- There sure is. Portal:Elections. If you click on any state on the map featured on the elections portal, you will be directed to a page for that state that highlights all elections for that state and year.
Seeing a list of user contributions
Is there a way to see the contributions of another user in a list form? I coordinate with a few people to contribute to articles, and it would be helpful to be able to see the contributions at a glance for others on our team.
Citation needed?
Does ballotpedia not support the "citation needed" template? Apparently not.[citation needed]
Wikipedia's "citation needed" template
If a ballotpedia page contains contentious information, we should require citations of reputable news sources. An example would be: a claim that some measure, if passed, would result in laying off 50 firefighters. It's ok to write that, but only if it can be backed up from a reputable news source.
- For the same purpose, we use {{fact}} which shows up as[citation needed]. There's also a {{citation}}, which shows up as (citation?).
Use a link
I was on another site and saw a link from you titled INITIATIVE & REFERENDUM STATE BY STATE (Click on State): and was wondering if I could use that link in a website I am building.Land vote
My organization The Trust for Public Land www.tpl.org maintains a website www.landvote.org which tracks all land conservation ballot measures from 1988-present. Is there some way to get involved with Ballotpedia. LandVote is the definitive source for conservation finance referendums. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Recall process in Nebraska
I would like to know how to start the recall process for Senator Ben Nelson here in Nebraska.
Header tabs
My question relates to your use of the extension "Header Tabs." I'm trying to use the same extension and troubleshooted it with Sergey, the creator. He thinks it's because my Apache is set to CGI Mode rather than Apache_handler. Do you know which one you're using? Thanks
Open new browser
How do I create an external link so it opens in a new browser tab? In HTML, I would write something like
<a href="http://books.google.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Google Books</a>
What is the equivalent to
rel="nofollow" target="_blank"
in the Wiki language?
Absentee ballots
Emergency! Looking for the source of a comprehensive 50-state list of absentee ballot access/application sites, addresses, info...is there such an animal?
1994 MA election rent control
Hi. I was looking for the exact text of Question 9 of the Massachusetts 1994 election that ended rent control. This was a highly contentions proposition that was worded in a particularly insidious way, duping many voters into voting against rent control instead of for it, as they believed they were doing. It was a widely-reported scandal, yet the text of the measure that is recorded on your website is not accurate. http://www.ballotpedia.org/wiki/index.php/Massachusetts_Rent_Control_Question_(1994)#cite_note-0
If you have a way of getting the actual text, you should do that. If you have a suggestion for a place where I can locate an accurate copy, please forward it to me at my login email. I am having a peculiarly difficult time locating it.
Thank you.
