Political topic categorization

  • Go through each state below. Check each proposition/ballot measure (proposed or certified) in it. Determine whether the article has been placed in a political category.
  • If the article has not been placed in a political category, go ahead and do that. There should be a political category by state and a political category by year.
  • If you can't decide what political category to use, type: {{addcat|2010}} at the end of the article.
  • Delete states from this list when every ballot proposition in that state has a political category by state and by year designation added to it, or {{addcat|2010}} added to it.
  • Delete this entire section when this has been done for all states.

  • Does each article say in the first one or two sentences what legal type it is?

  • Check the introduction/introductory sentence of each state/year article.
  • Is it accurate? Does it accurately summarize what the reader will learn by studying the charts on the page, for example? Does it reflect current reality?
  • Delete the link to a state below once you have checked this for that state.
  • Delete this entire section when all state links have been removed from it. (That is, if you're the last person to check/fix the last state, you go ahead and delete the entire section after you have checked/fixed the last state.)

  • For each ballot measure article in each state below, inspect the introductory sentence to determine whether or not it provides the exact date when the vote will or might take place on that ballot measure.
  • If the article does not include an exact date, insert that exact date.
  • Delete the link to a state below once you have checked/fixed this for every ballot question for that state.
  • Delete this entire section when all state links have been removed from it. (That is, if you're the last person to check/fix the last state, you go ahead and delete the entire section after you have checked/fixed the last state.)

Petition drive deadline

  • Check the introduction of the article.
  • Does the introduction inform the reader when that state's petition drive deadline is?
  • If not, add that information.
  • Delete the link to a state below once you have checked and, if necessary, fixed that state.
  • Delete this entire section when all state links have been removed from it. (That is, if you're the last person to check/fix the last state, you go ahead and delete the entire section after you have checked/fixed the last state.)

  • For each ballot measure article in each state below, inspect the article to determine whether it includes a "Path to the ballot" section.
  • If the article does not include a "Path to the ballot" section, insert such a section.
  • This section is ordinarily the last section in an article, right before the "External links" section.
  • If the article is about a proposed initiative, include a super-link to the signature requirements article for that state.
  • Delete the link to a state below once you have checked/fixed this for every ballot measure article for that state.
  • Delete this entire section when all state links have been removed from it. (That is, if you're the last person to check/fix the last state, you go ahead and delete the entire section after you have checked/fixed the last state.)

  • Delete this entire section when all state links have been removed from it. (That is, if you're the last person to check/fix the last state, you go ahead and delete the entire section after you have checked/fixed the last state.)
