Barbara Boyd is a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 32nd district, Calhoun and Talladega counties. She was first elected in 1994.

Boyd is a retired school teacher. She worked at Weaver Junior High and High Schools (1970-1985), Calhoun County Training School (1962-1970), and JW Darden High School (1960-1962).

Boyd is a member of the Alabama Democratic Conference, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated - Iota Mu Omega Chapter, Murray Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and the New South Coalition.[1]
