Bart Davis (b. March 7, 1955) has been a Republican member of the Idaho State Senate since 1998. Davis is the Senate Majority Leader of the Idaho State Senate. Davis was re-elected in November of 2008 with his term expiring in 2010.

Davis graduated from Brigham Young with his Bachelor's degree in 1978 and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho in 1980.

In addition to being a Senator, Davis is a practicing attorney and the Chairman of Electrical Wholesale Supply Company, Inc.

Davis was a three time delegate to the Republican National Convention representing Idaho in 2000, 2004, and 2008.

Davis had no opposition in the May 25 primary. He ran against Neil M. Williams in the general election on November 2, 2010, defeating him.[2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Republican Bart Davis won re-election to the Idaho State Senate, District 33 receiving 64.8% of the vote (9,456 votes), ahead of Democrat Neil Williams who received 35.2% of the vote (5,136 votes).[3]

Personal

Bart is married to Marion Davis. They have six children and reside in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
