Bart Stupak was a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Michigan's 1st congressional district. Stupak served in the house from 1993 to 2011.[1]

Stupak was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin February 29, 1952.[2]

Career

Stupake worked as patrolman for the Escanaba, Michigan police department from 1972 to 1973 and as a trooper for the state of Michigan from 1973 to 1984.[2] Since 1981 Stupak has worked as an attorney.[3]

He was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1989 to 1990 and elected to the U.S. House in 1992.[2]
