|Shall the annual tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution of 1 mill ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) be increased, and shall the Township of Bedford be authorized to levy 1.0 mills ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value), upon the taxable real and tangible personal property within the Township of Bedford, Monroe County, Michigan for a period of four (4) years from 2013 through 2016 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds to the Bedford Township Fire Department to be used for general operations and capital expenditures, and for maintenance on Fire Department buildings, equipment and building sites? The estimated revenue for the first year of the levy, if the proposition is approved, shall be approximately $960,000.00. This new 1.0 mill levy is not a renewal but it replaces an expired 1.0 mill fire protection millage, which has been reduced over the last few years to .8980 mills by the required Headlee millage rollbacks.|
