Ben Cannon (b.1976) was a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives. He represented District 46 from 2007 until September 1, 2011. Cannon announced on August 16, 2011 that he would be resigning in order to become Education Policy Advisor to Governor John Kitzhaber.[1]

Cannon holds a MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics/Comparative and International Education from Oxford University. He is a Humanities teacher at Arbor School of Arts and Sciences.

Cannon and his wife, Liz, have one child, Evelyn.[2]

Cannon won re-election to the 46th District Seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition but was challenged by Russell Turner in the general election which took place on November 2, 2010.[3]
