Benjamin Hale was a Libertarian candidate for District 31 of the Indiana State Senate. The primary election was on May 4, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.[1]

In the May 4 primary election, Hale ran unopposed. Hale lost to Republican incumbent James Merritt, Jr. and Democratic candidate Frank Anderson in the November 2 general election. Merritt defeated Anderson and Hale with 16,545 votes; Anderson received 14,187 and Hale received 827 votes.[2][3]
