Bert Dodson is a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 22 of the Virginia State Senate. He formerly served on the Lynchburg City Council for 12 years, with six of those served as Vice Mayor.

Dodson attended Virginia Tech and earned his BA from the University of Richmond School of Business in 1976. He is currently President and CEO of Dodson Pest Control.

Dodson is running in the 2011 election for Virginia Senate District 22. He is uncontested in the August 23 primary. Brian Bates, Mark Peake, Bryan Rhode, Thomas Garrett, and Claudia Tucker are running for the seat on the Republican ticket.
