William F. "Bill" Burt is a Republican member of the New Mexico Senate. Burt was appointed in January 2011 to replace Dianna Duran (R), who was elected Secretary of State.[1]

Burt ran for re-election in 2012. He was initially slated to face fellow incumbent Rod Adair in the June 5, 2012 Republican primary. However, Adair withdrew in April 2012. Burt defeated Stephanie L. Dubois in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]
