Bill Daley was a Democratic candidate for Governor of Illinois in the 2014 elections. He filed his candidate paperwork on June 11, 2013.[1] Daley's entry sets up a Democratic primary battle with incumbent Pat Quinn, who is up for re-election in 2014.[2]

Daley served as the U.S. Commerce Secretary during the Clinton administration and was the White House chief of staff under President Obama.[3]The primary is scheduled for March 18, 2014. The general election took place November 4, 2014.
