Bill Lawrence was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 12th Congressional District of Texas.[1]

Biography

Lawrence earned his B.S. from Tuskegee University in 1968. He went on to receive his M.S. in Public Administration from Saint Mary's University in 1976. He then earned a J.D. from Indiana University in 1979. Lawrence received his MM in Government Contracting from the University of Dallas in 1993.

Lawrence formerly served in the United States Air Force Reserve from 1968 to 1976. He also served as mayor of the City of Highland Village from 2000 to 2006. He is currently the CEO/Owner of B Lawrence Consulting Limited Liability Corporation.[2]

Lawrence ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Texas' 12th District. He was defeated by incumbent Kay Granger in the Republican primary on May 29, 2012.[3][4]

Personal

Lawrence and his wife, Grace, have three children.[2]
