Bill Shein was a 2012 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 1st Congressional District of Massachusetts.

Biography

Shein was raised in and around New York City, where he attended both public and private schools. During his college summers, he worked for New England Telephone in Boston and as a journalism intern in Washington, DC. From 1987 through 1988, Shein took a year off from college to work on the presidential campaign of the late Sen. Paul Simon. Upon graduation from Tufts University in 1990, he returned to Washington to work for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. [1]

Shein ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Massachusetts' 1st District. He lost to incumbent Richard Neal in the September 6 Democratic primary.[2]
