A Bingham Township Library Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Bingham, which is in Clinton County.

This measure sought to renew the current library levy which is set at a rate of $.49 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for library operational costs in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within the Township of Bingham, County of Clinton, Michigan be renewed in an amount not to exceed .497 mills (that being $0.497 per thousand dollars of taxable value) on all real and personal property in the Township, for a period of four years, for calendar years 2012 through 2015, inclusive, for providing funds pursuant to a contract with Briggs Public Library for library services to Bingham Township residents? If approved and levied in its entirety, this millage would raise an estimated $49,700.00 in 2012.[3]
