A Birch Run School District Bond Measure will be on the May 8, 2012 ballot in the Birch Run school district area which is in Genesee and Saginaw Counties.

This measure seeks to issue a bond in the amount of $11.85 million in order to help pay for remodeling and refurnishing facilities as well as a new band room at the high school and upgrading technology throughout the district.[1]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall Birch Run Area Schools, Saginaw and Genesee Counties, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Eleven Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($11,850,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefor, for the purpose of: partially remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, equipping and re-equipping school facilities; erecting, furnishing and equipping a band room addition to Birch Run High School; acquiring, installing and equipping educational technology for school facilities; constructing, equipping, developing and improving athletic facilities, playgrounds and play fields; and developing and improving sites?[2]
