Richardson is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Maine's 2nd District. Richardson is seeking the nomination on the Republican ticket.[2] Richardson is running against Kevin Raye in the Republican primary. Incumbent Mike Michaud is running unopposed in the Democratic primary. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was March 15, 2012. The primary elections were held on June 12, 2012.

Personal

Richardson is married to his wife, Laura.[3] He has two children from a former marriage – Kyle and Jana.[3]
